No matter how many times I’ve been to Prague, I always find myself walking through its charming streets—and every time, it makes me happy. Czechia experiences all four seasons, each transforming Prague in its own unique way: spring brings vibrant blooms, summer offers a cool, lively atmosphere, autumn paints the city in rich hues, and winter enchants with its magical Christmas markets.

CHARLES BRIDGE

Walk along the bridge, admire the statues, and enjoy the views of Prague Castle and the Vltava river. Listen to street performers , have your caricature drawn or shop for souvenirs. One of the charming sights at Charles Bridge is the old-fashioned way the lamps are lit at dusk. It’s a cool tradition to witness and adds to the bridge’s nostalgic atmosphere. For breathtaking views, climb the Old Town Bridge Tower located at one end of Charles Bridge.

PRAGUE CASTLE (PRAŽSKÝ HRAD)

Make sure to visit Prague Castle during your time in the city. Situated high above the Vltava River, it offers breathtaking views of Prague’s skyline. Explore its grand courtyards, majestic halls, and historic churches. Don’t miss the changing of the guards ceremony, another fascinating tradition.

ST. NICHOLAS CHURCH

Admire the baroque architecture of this stunning church located in the Lesser Town. Admission costs 130 koruna (about $5.50) for adults and 70 koruna (about $3) for youths 10 to 26. Children younger than 10 enjoy free admission. You can visit the church daily from 9 a.m. to 4, 5 or 6 p.m.; exact closing times vary depending on month and day of the week.

Prague is famous for its beer, so head to a local pub and savor some authentic Czech brews. There are even beer tours you can take. Did you know that the first beer in Prague was brewed at the Břevnov Monastery in 993 AD? Additionally, the brewery U Fleků is one of the few breweries in Central Europe that has been brewing continuously for over 500 years.
